We are a working Farm
Just to let you know we are a working farm. Not everyone you see works with the corn maze but will try to help you if you ask! There is a lot of traffic and equipment around the yard so please be cautious.
How to Prep for a Corn Maze Adventure with Kids (And Still Have Fun!)
A day at the corn maze is one of those fall traditions that sticks in kids’ memories for years—but let’s be real, parents… it can also be a workout in patience. The key? A little prep before you go, so everyone has a great time (including you!).
Here are our top corn maze tips for families:
1. Dress for the Maze, Not the Mall
The corn maze is a field—think grass, dirt, and maybe even a little mud. Comfy shoes, layers, and clothes you don’t mind getting dusty will keep everyone happy.
2. Pack Smart Snacks & Water
Little legs get tired, and big adventures work up an appetite. Bring easy grab-and-go snacks and a water bottle for each kid. (Pro tip: snacks = instant mood boost in the maze) For your convenience we also have plenty of snacks, drinks and frozen treats at the Maizex Corn Maze.
3. Make a Game Plan
Before you enter, talk about the plan. Are you trying to find all the number’s on the clue list? Are you racing to the exit? Or just wandering and exploring? Let the kids know the goal so they feel part of the adventure.
4. Give Everyone a Job
One kid can be the “clue holder,” another can be the “number spotter,” and someone else can be the “timekeeper.” It keeps them engaged and turns the maze into a mission.
5. Don’t Rush the Fun
The maze is only part of the experience—check out the photo ops, animals, games, and snacks. This corn maze is about slowing down and making memories together.
6. Embrace the Oops Moments
Getting “lost” is half the fun. Laugh, take silly photos, and enjoy the fact you’re all in it together.
Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, visiting a corn maze with kids is about connection, adventure, and enjoying the season. With these tips, you’ll leave with smiles, tired legs, and probably some dirt in those shoes.
